Is FamVault secure?

FamVault employs a combination of advanced encryption algorithms, secure cloud storage, multi-factor authentication, and regular security audits to protect your documents from unauthorized access. All documents will automatically be scanned for viruses before they are allowed to be uploaded.

FamVault employs advanced encryption and security measures to protect your documents. Access to your vault is controlled by strong authentication processes to ensure only authorized individuals can view your documents.

Can you use the FamVault platform without having a will or estate documents.

Yes, you are able to utilize any and all the other folder classifications.

What types of documents can I store in FamVault?

FamVault accepts PDF, Word and MP4 formatted documents and videos. In order to upload your Will it MUST be in a PDF format.

How do I add or update documents in my FamVault?

You can easily upload or update documents through our user-friendly website. Simply log in to your account, navigate to the document management section, and follow the prompts to upload or replace files.

Can I designate who has access to my documents?

Absolutely. You can specify individuals who are allowed to access your documents and manage their permissions. You can also set up alerts to notify them when certain actions need to be taken.

What if I need to transfer my documents to another person?

You can transfer document access by updating the permissions within your FamVault account. Simply adjust the settings to grant access to the new individual as needed.

What should I do if I experience technical issues with FamVault?

For technical support, you can contact our customer service team through the support section on our website. We offer assistance to resolve any issues you may encounter.

What encryption standards do you use for data at rest and in transit?

FamVault uses AES-256 for encryption at rest and HTTPS via TLS for encryption in transit. The keys are managed in AWS Key Management Service (KMS). The API secrets to interface with the KMS are managed within the AWS Secrets Manager.

How much memory do I get with my subscription?

You receive 2 Gigabytes. That can hold approximately 1280 images, 480 MP3 files, 38400 pages of Word documents, or 640 minutes of video, 100,000 to 200,000 PDF pages.

Who is my executor?

An executor is someone you appoint to handle your estate after you pass away. They are responsible for making sure that all your assets are distributed according to your will. Executors can be named by the testator (you) or appointed by the court. We recommend naming a primary executor and a secondary one, just in case your first choice is unavailable.

Can I update my folders on different life events?

Yes, you can update your folders anytime. Simply log in, authenticate yourself, and add or modify documents as needed.

How many people can I provide access to?

There is no limit to how many people you can grant access to. You can manage permissions and set up alerts for as many people as needed.

How do I pay for my FamVault subscription?

Payment for your FamVault subscription is processed through our secure billing system. You can enter your payment details in your account settings.

How Do I Edit My Profile?
  1. Log into your FamVault account.

  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to your profile icon.

  3. Select “Edit Profile” and make your changes.

  4. Click “Update Details” and confirm the changes.

How Do I Edit My Emergency Contact?
  1. Log into your account and click the drop-down arrow next to your profile icon.

  2. Select “Edit Profile” and go to the “Emergency Contact” tab.

  3. Click the “Edit” button and update the contact details.

  4. Once you’re done, click “Update Details” to save the changes.

How Do I Edit My Professional Account?
  1. Log into your FamVault account.

  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to your profile icon.

  3. Select “Change Professional.”

  4. Enter your new professional’s email, and you’ll get a confirmation email. Click “Submit” to finalize the change.

How do I Sign In For The First Time?
  1. You’ll receive an email from no-reply@famvault.com with temporary login credentials.

  2. Go to the website and click “Login.”

  3. Enter the temporary credentials and create a new password.

  4. Verify your identity with a 6-digit code sent to your phone. Then you’re in!

How do I change my password?
  1. Sign into your account.

  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to your profile icon and select “Change Password.”

  3. Enter your old password, create a new one, and confirm it.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

If you forgot your password, simply click “Forgot Password” on the login screen and follow the instructions to reset it.
